There’s a lot of pain in interpersonal relationships, and it’s never equal. At our cores we are very social creatures, and because of that we’re willing to endure a certain amount of pain to fulfill a primal need. No one ever wants to admit that they were wrong, no one ever wants to admit they were fooled, or tricked, or had. Often times the pain that is leveled from one party to the other isn’t even intentional, so for a long time it’s easy to brush it off, write it off as a mistake.
At what point do you accept someone for who they really are? The first time you feel the pangs? Or do you let it fester, build into something within you that shifts your whole mentality moving forward, shifts the mentality you hold towards your other interpersonal relationships.
